Yes, believe it or not I am finally finished with my very first novel.
It has been a long time coming, so, I thought I would reflect. Way back in 2010, my brother and I were at a family get-together and were talking about finally going for our dreams of writing full length novels. We talked it up and made plans to begin and finish shortly after. Turns out we didn’t – start or finish. Later that year, we heard about NaNoWriMo, which is a contest in which you see if you can churn out 60, 000 words in one month. We tackled that and did pretty well for our first attempt. For my effort, the story now entitled Croatoan was born.
Since that was so easy, I thought, why not throw in a cross country move for the whole family. To top that off, I thought I would start my career over and for good measure throw in a family tragedy. Wow, why make it easy right?
Fast forward, its April 2013 and the novel is complete and the family is doing well. I just now, like 10 seconds ago, uploaded it to Amazon and now it is in review. You can’t tell but I’m dancing right now. Man, its hard to type and dance. Ok, Its hard for me to dance and… well… not fall.
Here is the plan:
